<p>Although you can see that the glass is half-empty, you chose to see it in a positive way. It is still half-full, anyway. The absence of half of the volume of water didn’t even bother you. What mattered was that it still contains water. If this is how you answered the question and how you justified your answer, then you have a positive way of thinking. 	Positive thinking is a way of looking at the brighter side of life. Everything is good, beautiful, and light. There are no worries, problems, or fears. In short, all you see and believe in is, well, positive.</p>
<p>I guess that’s already the most suitable word in describing this way of thinking, which is why it is the term being used.  	This kind of thinking is very powerful in that if you think that you are going to pass an exam, you are going to pass; if you think that you’ll get noticed by your crush, you’ll get noticed; if you think you will get promoted at work, then you’ll get promoted. This is how powerful the mind is, particularly positive mind. Even the famous Clint Eastwood believes in this general truth that he quoted, “If you think it’s going to rain, it will.”</p>
<p>So, how does the power of positive thinking work? How can it create reality? Do we only have to think of positive things and then will it happen right away? That positive thinking really is powerful may be somehow hard to believe at first, that’s why we may ask certain questions like those above. Because the mind is working on the information you send it, positive thinking leads to positive reality. This is how it works. Yes, we do have to really think of positive things. But it doesn’t stop there. Remember the ever-famous cliché “Do your best and God will do the rest”? You know, it’s true. Aside from believing in and having faith in something we want to happen, we have to do something about it. You can’t ace an exam just by sitting on the couch and watching TV days before taking it, can you?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Got up this morning to a perfect day, that is how I see it. I am an early riser because I find the morning to be the best part of the day. We went down to the beach to have a walk and the weather was perfect. Have you every just looked at how nature provides for us such beauty? In our busy lives, we often do not take the time to appreciate the things that are all around us.<br />
To watch the sun rise over the water, to hear and see the birds and just to smell the blossoms and the smell the air around us. There are so many beautiful things and they are all for free. We can be uplifted just by going for a walk and admiring the world around us.<br />
Do you ever go for a walk and look at the world this way? Or are you always walking at such a pace and your thoughts are flying around in your head and you are stressed? Take the time to appreciate the beauty in nature that is all around you. Listen to the baby giggling and smile to yourself because you are at peace in this very moment.Watch the puppy playing in the park &#8211; just take the time for you. Times like this will elevate your vibrations and your positive thoughts will help you face the day.<br />
I have a busy day planned but I could not afford  not to start the day in this way. I know if things go a little pear shaped today, I will take a deep breath and thank God for all that he has provided. Every problem we face is like a coin &#8211; flip it over and see what is on the other side. There is always a solution to every problem.<br />

<p>That is a very powerful statement but first we must know what our goal is. You must be certain that you know what you want. When you know your life purpose, you will be able by thought to achieve all that you desire or <strong><a href="http://healththroughhealinghands.com/the-new-way/" target="_self">visualize.</a></strong></p>
<p>We will take a simple example but this example applies to any goal or goals you want to achieve. If, for example, you want to lose weight – know how much you want to lose -30 pounds and what is the time frame you are allowing yourself. We have done the calculations that we will lose 5 pounds per month – you must be realistic. This is not an impossible amount. You may do better, but at least you know that 5 pounds is achievable per month. Now the math tells us that this will take 6 months.</p>
<p>Write it down – at the end of the month 5 pounds – at the end of 6 months – 30 pounds. Now we will break it down even further. Visualize that you have already achieved the goal and what it feels like.</p>
<p>Write down what you want to achieve every day and put it in great detail. This lets your subconscious mind know what it has to work on.</p>
<p>It is like going into a field of tall grass, you walk through it and suddenly you create a path. If you kept walking through this field on this same path you had created – it would be very visible. This is the same as your thoughts. You must constantly tell yourself what you want to achieve and these thoughts will be like a pathway to your brain. If you want an inspirational day join one of these one day events.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, yesterday I was telling you about going to yoga. I started and was determined to succeed &#8211; not only with the yoga but also with the <a href="http://healthy-livingtoday.weebly.com" target="_blank"><strong>weight loss.</strong></a></p>
<p>I guess you now realized &#8211; that what I was actually doing was changing my<strong> <a href="http://healththroughhealinghands.com/the-new-way/changing-your-thoughts-%E2%80%93-changing-your-life/" target="_blank">&#8220;mind set&#8221;</a></strong>. If I believed that I could do it &#8211; I would do it. I went out and bought some DVDs on yoga and every morning without fail I would get up, get my exercising clothes on and start a DVD. I started with a yoga for beginners DVD because I knew how bad my flexibility was. I used the same 30 minute segment for about a week before I would change.</p>
<p>Within six months, the weight had gone &#8211; I did change my eating habits too, I will admit. As the weight disappeared so my flexibility increased.</p>
<p>After about 18 months, I joined a gym &#8211; yes, this person who before thought gyms were for exercise freaks &#8211; signed up and I still go twice a week. I must admit &#8211; I love it. I have a personal trainer. By the way, I have never regained the weight.</p>
<p>My whole ideas had changed and you can do that too. All of this was having the belief in myself and constantly doing the same thing every day. OK &#8211; if I did miss one day or I ate the wrong thing one day &#8211; I didn&#8217;t beat myself up about it. This was my thinking pattern regarding eating &#8211; there are 3 meals a day, 7 days in a week, therefore 21 meals for the week. If I did the wrong thing for one meal &#8211; I tried to get the other 20 right and that is a pretty high percentage of success. If you got that percentage pass mark in you exams at school, you would have been the top student &#8211; and that is what you will be now &#8211; changing your thoughts, will help change YOU!!</p>
<p>I have just picked a selection of DVDs on yoga for beginners and the inflexible that may interest you,</p>

<p>Today is my yoga practice day. Yes &#8211; sometimes it would be easy to say &#8220;Hey! I don&#8217;t want to do this today&#8221; but I have only ever done that once in four years. I felt so guilty, that I vowed never to avoid going again.</p>
<p>I started yoga over four years ago with the express idea of losing weight &#8211; I needed some form of exercise and I thought I would give it a try.  I didn&#8217;t know much about it &#8211; I had only viewed it briefly on TV. I knew nothing about it inter-grating the <a href="http://healththroughhealinghands.com/" target="_self"><strong>body, mind and spiri</strong><strong>t</strong></a>. How would I know that it would lead me further on the path of self improvement?</p>
<p>My first yoga practice could well have been my last, except my teacher was insistent that I return the following week. I could not do one asana (position) , my flexibility was non existent and as for the breathing &#8211; how could you hold a position and breathe as a yogi at the same time? Yoga breathing is very rhythmical &#8211; the amount of time it takes you to breath in, is exactly the same time it takes you breathe out. I was hopeless but one thing I knew &#8211; even though I could not do what some of the others were doing, I made myself a promise and I was determined to practice in my own time and improve.</p>
<p>Next post I will tell you how I did it.</p>
